Local Grants
MEPI offers a variety of funding mechanisms to support the efforts of reform-minded individuals and organizations working throughout the region. Below are brief descriptions of some of the main funding opportunities available, with links to more detailed information and applications, as available. Since instructions for how to apply for a MEPI grant differ with each grant, applicants should refer directly to the specific application form provided in these pages or the central MEPI website to gain more information. We also offer a link for guidance on Preparing a MEPI Budget and Justification.
MEPI Local Grants
These grants, which usually range from $10,000 to 25,000 and last up to one year, are provided to support local "grassroots" reform projects. Applicants including individuals and non-governmental organizations (NGO's), should apply directly to the U.S. Embassy in their country.
