Center for Development and Population Activity (CEDPA)

Empowering Women's Organizations in Egypt [Women, Democracy] – working in partnership with the National Council of Women (NCW), CEDPA is conducting a women’s empowerment program for grassroots women’s organizations in the governorates of Bene Suef, Qena, Fayoum and Minya Egypt, towards increased influence of women on governorate operational polices.  NCW local councils in the four governorates will support women's networks and carry out advocacy initiatives.

Future Businesswomen’s Association

Generating Women Leaders and Revitalizing their Role in Society [Women, Democracy] – This grant is helping women in the Kafr El Shiekh area develop skills to become community leaders.  A broad range of women, including students and rural women, will be exposed to information about women’s political and social rights, both through meetings and through media and public outreach campaigns. 

Southeast Consortium for International Development (SECID)

Women’s Empowerment [Women, Democracy] – SECID is working to strengthen Egyptian civil society and women’s business networks by developing managers’ leadership skills, building business leaders’ understanding of community and civil society programs, and linking business leaders to civil society through board development, volunteering programs, and networks.
