The Regional Office of the Middle East Partnership Initiative (MEPI) for the Mediterranean Region is based in Tunis, Tunisia and is directed by W.Johann Schmonsees.

MEPI Medregion covers six countries: Algeria, Egypt, Israel, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, the Palestinian Territories and Tunisia and reports to the Washington based Office of Partnership Initiative (PI) in the Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs (NEA).
